Alpine Photography for the Hiker and Mountaineer. |
| Cost: |
$459.00 for Mount Washington Observatory Members (an additional membership
fee of $45 will be charged non-members.) |
| A trip for the recreational photographer who wishes to capture the
beauty of nature and the excitement of outdoor adventure. Jerry will share
his years of experience in photographing mountain scenery, outdoor
landscapes, and outdoor recreation, and will consider such topics as
equipment selection, photo composition and the special challenges of
photography under severe conditions: extreme cold, high winds, blowing
snow and omnipresent moisture. Suitable for the interested novice as well
as for the experienced photographer. This is a unique opportunity to
photograph and experience winter on Mount Washington while staying in the
comfortable environment of the Mount Washington Observatory. We also
get a ride to the summit of Mount Washington on a snowcat.

Acadia National Park Photo Tour |
| Cost: |
$799.00 for instruction, five days of lunches, and a lobster dinner at one
of Maine's classic lobster pounds. |
| This trip will feature five days
photographing amongst the mountains and rugged coastline of Maine's Acadia
National Park. Jerry's experience co-authoring two books on the park
(Discover Acadia and
Wild Acadia) insures that you will have the
opportunity to make images of classic park scenes as well as explore out
of the way places. We will begin our week with an evening get-together
(starting at 6:00 p.m.) on Sunday, July 13th that includes a brief
orientation and discussion about the week's events followed by a lecture
meant to inspire great picture taking. The remainder of the week
will be spent making photos in the best light possible, occasionally
retreating indoors to critique our work or learn a new Photoshop skill or
two. The tour will wrap up around lunch time on Friday, July 18th.
All of our meetings, lectures, critique sessions, etc. will be held at
the Atlantic Oakes Resort in Bar
Harbor. The Atlantic Oakes is holding rooms for participants in
this tour, though it is not required that you stay there. They are
offering a discounted rate of $155.00 per night for a room with two double
beds. This rate includes breakfast, though depending on weather and
our shooting schedule, we may end up eating breakfast on the road
occasionally. The resort is about a twenty minute walk from downtown
Bar Harbor and is situated on the shoreline of Frenchman Bay. If you
would like to share a room with another tour participant, please let us
know.
For this tour, we require a $300.00 deposit upon registration, with the
remaining $499.00 due on May 15th. You can either send a check, made
out to EcoPhotography LLC, to P.O. Box 424, Portsmouth, New Hampshire
03802, or pay with credit card via PayPal using the link below. To
reserve a room at the Atlantic Oakes Resort, please contact them directly
at 800-336-2463. |
| Acadia National Park Photo Tour Deposit ($300.00) |

any cancellations made between May 15th and June 15th, the deposit is
non-refundable. For any cancellations made after June 15th, the full
tour fee is non-refundable. EcoPhotography LLC reserves the right to

| This tour will provide an excellent opportunity to capture the essence
of Ireland, from ancient villages, abbeys, and round towers, to dramatic
seaside cliffs, and the rugged Connemara Mountains. We'll be based
at the Hillcrest House located between the authentic Irish towns of
Westport and Newport, and we'll explore all of the highlights of Western
Ireland under the expert guidance of Irish guide Olcan Masterson.
This trip is led by Jerry through Strabo Tours. Detailed trip
