Where: The Appalachian Mountain Club's Highland Center in Crawford Notch, New Hampshire
When: Friday morning, October 1, 2010 through 1 P.M. on Sunday, October 3, 2010
Cost: $543.00 for AMC members, $573.00 for non-members. Includes instruction, lodging, and all meals from Friday lunch through Sunday lunch.
Who should attend: Beginner and intermediate photographers looking for instruction and the chance to photograph peak fall foliage in some of the White Mountains most scenic locations.

Description: This workshop is based in the heart of New Hampshire's White Mountains at the Appalachian Mountain Club's signature lodge - The Highland Center in Crawford Notch. We will spend approximately 2 hours per day inside learning how to get the best images possible from your cameras. The rest of our time will be spent exploring nearby landscapes, photographing mountain scenes, waterfalls, and forest details. Specific shooting locations for each day will be determined the night before based on weather forecasts and foliage conditions. Though we won't be doing any strenuous hiking, you may be expected to walk up to three miles on sometimes rocky trails with up to 300 feet of elevation gain. Sturdy hiking boots are suggested.
Lodging: More information about the Highland Center is available at the AMC website. The above rates assume you stay in a bunk room (2, 4, or 6 people per room.) Private rooms are available for an additional fee ($94.00 for members, $112.00 for non-members.)
Meals: As mentioned above, meals from lunch on Friday through lunch on Sunday are included in the workshop fee. Breakfast and dinner will be in the Highland Center dining room. We will have bag lunches ready to take with us on our field trips. Please mention any dietary restrictions when you register.
Transportation: Participants are required to provide their own transportation to the workshop. Transportation to photo locations during the workshop will be via an AMC van.
