Who should attend: Photographers looking to develop a body of work featuring classic rural Vermont landscapes, waterfalls, and wildflowers.

Maximum Group Size: 8

Description: This workshop will be based at the Kedron Valley Inn, in the heart of Vermont, where we will have access to quintessential Vermont photography subjects - rural villages, farm scenes, the Green Mountains, and nature at its best, from rushing streams in lush forests to the small details of woodland wildflowers. Late May is a great time to visit Vermont, as the weather is comfortable, waterfalls are at their best, and the spring colors of flowers and budding forest trees are at their peak. This workshop will be weighted heavily to spending time out shooting, with indoor time relegated to two or three critique sessions. The small group size will allow for ample individual instruction in the field. The workshop schedule will be flexible so that we can be out shooting in the best light possible for the subject matter. The Kedron Valley Inn is one of the oldest in Vermont and enhances the Vermont experience with its friendly staff and historic accommodations.

Lodging: Though not required, participants are encouraged to stay at the Kedron Valley Inn. Special workshop lodging rates (per night) are $140.00 for single and double occupancy and include breakfast at the inn. Please make your reservation directly with the inn by calling them at 1-800-836-1193. To learn more about the inn, visit their website. Rooms at the Kendron Valley Inn are being held for our workshop until March 1, 2010. After that date, rooms may or may not be available, though you can still attend the workshop if you stay at another location.

Meals: As mentioned above, breakfast is included with your room at the Kedron Valley Inn. Lunches are included with the workshop fee and will be provided either as bag lunches or in local restaurants, depending on our shooting schedule for the day. Dinners are not included in the workshop fee, but participants will have the opportunity to eat this meal with the group or own their own. The workshop fee does include one dinner at the inn.

Transportation: Participants are required to provide their own transportation. A six passenger van will be available to the group for local transportation during the workshop, but since this workshop has a maximum of eight participants, you may be asked to drive your own vehicle during parts of the workshop.

Payment: An initial deposit of $300.00 is required at registration, with the remainder of the fee due one month prior to the workshop on April 23, 2010.

Cancellations: If you cancel prior to March 23, 2010, your full deposit will be refunded. If you cancel between March 24, 2010 and April 23, 2010, you will be refunded 50% of your deposit. No refunds are made for cancellations made after April 23, 2010. EcoPhotography reserves the right to cancel the workshop if less than four people register by April 23, 2010. If EcoPhotography cancels the workshop, any payments you have made to EcoPhotography will be refunded in full.
