Out There
News From EcoPhotography.com
|
| |
Greetings!
Happy Spring! 2007 is well under way and we've been keeping busy
shooting, from a wind farm in Palm Springs to frozen Connecticut
River tributaries in Vermont and New Hampshire. We also found
ourselves featured in Photo District News.
Cheers!

EcoPhotography featured in Photo District News! |
|
| |
|
In its February issue, Photo District News (PDN), the recognized monthly
“bible” of the professional photographic industry, has selected us to
represent the state of New Hampshire in its annual “50 States, 50
Photographers” survey of business conditions. There are a lot of great
shooters out there, including right on the New Hampshire seacoast, so we
are really honored that PDN chose us as being representative of the
professional photography industry in New Hampshire.
The purpose of the PDN article was to get a general idea of the
business climate for professional photographers around the nation. As
Holly Hughes, PDN’s editor, observed: “The most successful and contented
of the photographers in our ‘50 States’ issue demonstrate (that) where
you are located is becoming less important than how often you can get
your name and images in front of the people who can use your talents.”
Photo District News is available at most quality bookstores and
newsstands. The “50 States, 50 Photographers” article is also available
online at
www.pdnonline.com.

White Mountain Winners. |
|
| |
|
Did you know that New Hampshire's White Mountain National Forest is the
most visited National Forest in America? In fact, the White Mountains
have been one of the most popular tourist destinations since the
mid-19th century when Americans were drawn to the region by the writings
of Thoreau and Hawthorne and the paintings of Thomas Cole. The White
Mountains were also the site of one of the more compelling environmental
success stories of the 20th century.
"The Whites" are a great place - one of our favorites - and now Meera
Subramanian at the Open Space Institute (in NYC) and Allison Kuznets at
Earthscan (a publishing company in the UK) can learn all about the White
Mountains because they recently registered on our website and won free
copies of our book White Mountain Wilderness.
