Greetings and Happy New Year!
So far 2008 has brought fresh snow, new skis for our kids, and lots
of new images for you to use at EcoPhotography.com. We hope you have
a year filled with good health, fun adventures, and tons of

2000-plus New Images at EcoPhotography.com. |
|
| |
|
Thanks to the efforts of our crack dust-spotting and keywording team,
we have been able to add more than 2000 images to our on-line collection
since Thanksgiving. That's a 40% increase in the number of searchable
stock photos on EcoPhotography.com in just two months, and we now have
procedures in place to regularly add several hundred new images per
month for the foreseeable future.
Most of the new photos serve to deepen our coverage of nature and
adventure photos of New England's wild places. Among other locations,
you can now find new images of Maine's North Woods and Down East coast,
the Connecticut River Valley, and even rural Worcester County in
Massachusetts.

Wild Acadia Makes Shutterbug "Top 30". |
|
| |
|
Time to toot our own horn a little courtesy of Shutterbug Magazine. In
their December issue, Shutterbug has named our most recent book, Wild
Acadia, one of their "Top Photo Books of 2007." The list of 30 titles
includes traditional coffee table books by Ansel Adams, Robert Glenn
Ketchum, and Norbert Rosing, as well as how-to books on subjects ranging
from portaiture to close-up photography.

Fifteenth Anniversary of EcoPhotography |
|
| |
|
2008 marks the fifteenth anniversary of the birth of EcoPhotography. It
is hard to believe that it was 1993 when we sold our first stock photo:
an image of two hikers on Maine's Mt. Katahdin that made it onto the
cover of Appalachian Trailway News. What started as a part-time dream
for two twenty-somethings blossomed into a full-time career and passion
more than six years ago. For some reason we quit our regular paying jobs
with benefits right after our first child was born, and we've never
looked back. We have been to some wonderful places, worked on some very
meaningful projects, and most importantly we have worked with some
fantastic people.
Of course, we would not be in business today without the support of
all of our hard-working clients, so thank you!
