EcoPhotography goes Carbon Neutral. |
|
| |
|
In 2006, we drove approximately 18,000 miles while shooting primarily
commissioned conservation photography. At 25mpg, that means we pumped
around 7 tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, which as I'm sure you
know, contributes to Global Warming. Working to conserve the environment
while polluting it at the same time seems a little morally challenged to
us, so we have decided to offset our carbon emissions by supporting clean
energy and buying carbon credits through
cooldriver.org.
Buying carbon credits is relatively inexpensive - it cost us less
than $100.00 to offset that 18,000 miles of driving. The credits we
bought support the wind farms and dairy farm methane projects of Native
Energy, a utility owned by Native Americans. To learn more about
reducing your (or your company's) carbon footprint visit
